The Courier’s black car beneath the lights at Last Light

The game

Keep moving

An endless single-player survival-horror drive through a desert county where the pavement behaves and the journey does not.

The loop

Drive. Stop. Return.

The car changes what can reach you. The road changes what can catch it.

  1. 01

    Drive

Read the surface, manage your speed, and keep the city lights somewhere ahead.

  2. 02

    Pressure

Black vehicles show themselves before they close, block the lane, or strike the car.

  3. 03

    Break contact

Use distance, a branch road, rough ground, or a lit forecourt to make room.

  4. 04

    Step outside

Fix what broke, search what is open, and keep track of the walk back to the car.

  5. 05

    Return

Get the doors closed and put enough road behind you to risk another stop.

The delivery

Sealed in the trunk

The job is to take a sealed package to an address in the city. It stays in the trunk while the men behind him close on the car.

Every detour buys time for the pursuit and takes the city farther off the windshield.

Survival systems

Every tool asks for time

Keep the car moving

The black fastback is shelter and lifeline. Damage follows every hard contact, and every roadside repair leaves you exposed.

Choose when to stop

Pull over for a tire, a dark headlamp, a building with one light on, or evidence you may not see again. Staying costs time. Leaving costs answers.

Watch the dark

Some headlights keep returning. Outside the car, a steady beam can buy a few seconds, but only while you hold it there.

Keep the evidence

The manifest carries selected observations into the next run. A note from one drive can change what you notice on the next.
